JESUS
RESCUED ME
I lived in Bristol a few years ago, it was at this time of my life that I decided to follow Jesus. I knew that the Lord was calling me to serve him, because I experienced this tremendous conviction in my heart and a great desire to follow and serve him.
Soon after deciding to serve him, the Lord filled me with his Holy Spirit; and soon after that event I went to bed. Then I had a dream, In this dream I found myself in a coffin. I was actually entombed in this coffin. There was no way of me getting out of that coffin in my own strength. Strangely there was light in the coffin, and I could see in this coffin that I was laid in.
The Lord allowed me to see where I was, there was no mistaken that I was in a coffin. I then began to explore with my hands, I could feel the satin cushion lining that lined the coffin that I laid in.
I don’t know how long I laid there, but I do know for certain that I began to panic with great horror and fear.
But suddenly the story of Jonah and the whale came into my mind !!
I knew about Jonah; he was in the belly of the whale for three days and three nights. Jonah himself was entombed in the belly of the whale because he went against the Lord. But he prayed to God, and God delivered him out of the whale. Jonah 2
Whilst I laid in the coffin in terror and thinking about Jonah. I heard the voice of the Lord say “Jonah prayed with great supplication”. I immediately replied to the Holy Spirit “This is what I should do!” The Holy Spirit replied “Yes”.
I then began to call on the Lord in fervent praying and supplication.
Suddenly! I became as an arrow, and with great power I shot out of the coffin. I knew it was the power of God; I knew salvation had come.
As I shot out of the coffin, I could hear and see the shattering of the wooden coffin that I was entombed in; As I shot out, I could see from the corner of my eyes where I had shot out of the tomb, and up from the ground, which was immediately covered over.
I woke up immediately to find myself in my bed. I felt the feeling of great relief and great joy, because I knew that I was delivered from that grave.
I give the Lord praise, for the Lord showed me, that I was dead in my sins but now I’m alive in his Righteousness.
